About The Historic Hat Ranch
Our rooms are historic. They’re the real thing. For more than 100 years, cowboys and ranch hands (and invited guests) lived in these rooms as they tended to their ranching duties. If you’re accustomed to the kinds of amenities you’d find in the Hilton . . . you should probably “swipe left.” Our rooms are clean, but spare. Besides, once you look around our ranch, you’re gonna want to be outside!
We do have reliable cell phone service, an Internet connection, and TV in some locations.
THE HISTORIC HAT RANCH, situated six miles west of the mountain town of Williams, Arizona, was established in the early 1800’s, and not much has changed out there since then. (Well, not much except that there’s an Internet connection, now.)
This incredible ranch offers you beauty, seclusion, hiking, and rest and relaxation.THE HISTORIC HAT RANCH is the perfect base for you to enjoy all that northern Arizona has to offer: Williams and Rt. 66, the Grand Canyon, Bearizona, the Grand Canyon Railway, fishing lakes, mountains, star-gazing, and an abundance of wildlife.
Spend a few days with us and explore our 2800 acre ranch surrounded by the Kaibab National Forest. You’ve never seen anything like this before.
Our rustic lodging isn’t for everyone, but it was good enough for Franklin D. Roosevelt when he was running for president in 1932 and also served as a summertime “cowboy training camp” for future president, George W. Bush, when he was 16 years old.
